Coorabell, NSW
The steep and heavily weed covered areas of this property were previously unusable. By manually removing all invasive species without the use of any chemicals we are able to keep the soil relatively untouched. To give the client future erosion and weed control, we immediately planted over x1000 native clumping species. This beautiful variety of native grasses will offer perennial flowers, benefiting the rest of the property by attracting pollinators. All plants are grown in biodegradable pots, meaning there’s zero waste during this entire project. The rhizome roots of all selected plants help hold the steep banks together and the distance between each plant in this design will result in the understory canopies meeting and naturally suppressing invasive weeds. To finish this off we have covered any exposed soil in untreated hardwood chip; you’ll also see native Pigface planted throughout also, encouraging another flowering ground cover to crawl beneath and between.
